Jimmy Uso Arrest Body Cam Footage Released, No “Squaring Up With Cops” To Be Seen
Footage of Jimmy Uso’s arrest has been released.
Uso, real name Jonathan Fatu, was arrested on February 13 following a traffic stop that saw his wife (WWE Superstar) Naomi traveling the wrong way down a one-way street in a 2018 Dodge Journey. An allegedly intoxicated Uso was subsequently cuffed and jailed before being released on bond.
Now, body camera footage obtained by NBC 4 from police offers shows the incident — or at least part of it. You can see that above.
Police had originally claimed that the now-WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion Uso had taken his shirt off and squared up with police, none of which was actually caught on body camera footage. It did, however, capture Uso stating “Man, you don’t understand. I’m just here in and out. I’m in and out, man,”
Naomi told police she was unfamiliar with the area, which is why the incident occurred. Uso was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction and was booked in the Detroit Detention Center. Naomi could be seen asking the officers if she needed to contact a bail bondsman to handle the situation. Uso was released on bond shortly after.
Uso would go on to win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships at WWE Elimination Chamber just days later. WWE issued a statement after the arrest, saying “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
