Jimmy Jacobs Interviews Nick Aldis, Athena Wants More Challengers | IMPACT x ROH Recap

Here is your fight size update following IMPACT and ROH Wrestling on Thursday, April 20, 2023. 

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

IMPACT Wrestling  

– Jimmy Jacobs interviewed Nick Aldis, who reiterated his desire to become IMPACT World Champion.

– To close out the show, Steve Maclin held a Changing of the Guard ceremony and made it clear that his mission is not complete until he’s defeated a Canadian in Canada. Scott D’Amore will give Maclin that opportunity by putting him in the ring against PCO at Under Siege in London, Ontario, Canada, on Friday, May 26.

– The show opened with Time Machine ( KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley, and Chris Sabin)  defeating Trey Miguel, Jonathan Gresham, and Mike Bailey

– Moose, flanked by Brian Myers, managed to defeat Yuya Uemura. Bhupinder Gujjar accompanied Yuya and as Gujjar attacks Myers at ringside, the distraction allowed Moose to capitalize with a Spear

– Deonna Purrazzo is ready for another Age of Virtuosa.

– Santino Marella said on 4/20 that he may continue to compete on occasion, but his main role will continue to be IMPACT Wrestling’s Director of Authority.

– Jody Threat saved Tara Rising from a further beating by Alisha Edwards after Lish picked up a win on April 20.

– Frankie Kazarian, by way of a Chicken Wing submission, defeated The Good Hands, John Skyler & Jason Hotch, in a Handicap Match.

Ring of Honor 

– Athena defeated Heather Reckless and also announced that she wants more challengers to step up to her.

– Penta El Zero M overcame Nick Comoroto on ROH TV.

– Konosuke Takeshita defeated Lee Moriarty in the latest ROH episode.

– The Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds and John Silver picked up a win over Lee Johnson and Cole Karter.

– Brian Cage, Lance Archer, and Willow Nightingale were each successful in singles action on the latest episode.

– Gringo Loco spoke about looking to get the attention of AEW and feeling like he succeeded, despite losing to El Hijo del Vikingo.

– The Iron Savages picked up their second win of the week on the 4/20 ROH episode.

– Colt Cabana became another victim for Samoa Joe as Joe successfully defended his ROH TV Title.
