Jim Ross Talks Hulk Hogan Return Rumors

Jim Ross thinks Hulk Hogan appearing at Wrestlemania 33 makes perfect sense.

Recently, a few people in wrestling spoke about Hogan returning to WWE. His daughter, Brooke claimed talks have started between Hogan and WWE. Hall of Famer Scott Hall spoke out about how great it would be. Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor said he would enjoy it and would like to step into the ring with Hogan. Jim Ross included the subject on his blog Monday

"Why do so many people seemingly question the logic of WWE in perhaps bringing Hulk Hogan back for a WM33 Orlando appearance? Seems like good marketing to me and something I that I'd concur with without any reservations. Hogan's an icon, the Babe Ruth of his era, and would appeal to many fans who will engage the April 2, 2017 event. I think that it would be fun for many fans to see the red and yellow front and center at Wrestlemania because after all he did have a significant hand in helping build the brand that changed the business," wrote Ross.

Hogan worked in Orlando during his time with WCW and TNA. Wrestlemania 33 is set to take place at Camping World Stadium. Hogan has not been seen on WWE product since his departure in 2015. Ross said bringing Hogan makes sense especially considering WWE's philosophy on their annual Wrestlemania shows.

"WWE is not unlike any other entity in that they need to gather all the star power that they can muster for their annual, extravaganza whether said attractions wrestle or they don't," wrote Ross.

The only planned match for Wrestlemania 33 so far is a bout featuring Big Show and NBA great Shaquille O'Neal.

Ross blogs on his own website JRBarBQ.com once or twice a week.
