Ross has had a lengthy career in the wrestling world, and he previously worked as WWE’s Head of Talent Relations in WWE. In recent years, he has been working for AEW; he is currently part of the AEW Collision broadcast team.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross shared his thoughts on the September 9 episode of the show and spoke highly of the in-ring action. He first commented on the bout between Samoa Joe and Penta El Zero Miedo.

“The match quality on Collision has been pretty good. I called the Samoa Joe/Penta match, the main event of that show, and I thought those guys just turned it up. Samoa Joe is in a different place. He’s as good, if not better, than he’s ever been. Penta had the best singles match he’s had in AEW, so those guys were motivated,” Ross said.

Ross then brought up the match between Roderick Strong and Darby Allin and stated that it was nothing short of epic. He highlighted Allin’s fearlessness and called him one of the best homegrown prospects he has ever seen/

“Earlier in the night, the Roddy Strong/Darby Allin match was nothing short of epic. He’s a fearless kid, I love him. He’s just one of the best homegrown prospects I’ve ever seen. He’s young, he’s in his mid-20s. So if he can hold up…that whole story was about his spine, his back. That’s what the announcers should be talking about because that was the whole story. Roddy Strong did a lot of creative things to focus on that body part,” Ross said.

Ross also noted that he was shocked that Allin lost the match against Strong.

Allin previously said there will never be a bidding war for him, as he will live and die in AEW. Check out his comments here.
