Brock, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson, made his AEW debut in June 2021, and he has competed on AEW television, Dark, and ROH TV throughout his time with the company. He last wrestled on the August 12 episode of AEW Collision, where he lost to AEW TNT Champion Luchasaurus. He was removed from the AEW roster page on October 20, and Fightful Select reported that he departed the company. Brock then confirmed his AEW departure on October 23.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross shared his thoughts on Brock Anderson’s AEW departure. Co-host Conrad Thompson noted that he hopes it didn’t mark the end of his wrestling journey.

“I don’t either. He’s got a lot of potential, good upside. Good kid. He’s been under his dad’s learning tree, which is always good because his dad is a great teacher, great coach, great motivator. So Brock will be fine. Somebody will pick him up. He’s got a lot of ability, lot of potential, so we wish him nothing but the best. I’m dear friends with his father, so I’m pulling for Brock and his dad. So we’ll see how it works out. It should be an interesting time probably for that family,” Jim Ross said.

Fightful Select also reported that Brock Anderson has garnered some interest on the independent scene.
