After Jey Uso walked out of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes brought him to WWE Raw. The duo then teamed up and defeated Finn Balor and Damian Priest to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WWE Fastlane. Though their title reign was short, they have remained allies. They teamed up again in the Men’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series.

Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Jey Uso discussed his friendship with Cody Rhodes and noted that seeing Cody’s journey has made him want to rise up as well.

“I got love for Cody Rhodes, everybody knows that. This is almost a decade ago, always worked with him, had a great mind for the business, just like his father. That’s why he called me because he knows I have a lot more to offer. I do got love for Cody. I think we became way more closer together now that I’ve been on Raw. I lost my brothers, but I kind of gained another one. I’m still learning from him too. Seeing his position now, I just want to rise up too,” Uso said.
