Jerry Lawler Says Performers Get Their Temperature Checked Before Entering The Performance Center
While other sports have suspended seasons, WWE continues to hold televised events at the Performance Center with essential personnel only.
On Tuesday it was reported by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet that “in order to enter the tapings at the WWE Performance Center amidst the coronavirus pandemic, talent/crew/etc must pass a screening done by a team of physicians.”
In a new interview with Commercial Appeal, Jerry Lawler revealed that everyone who enters the Performance Center has his or her temperature taken.
It was not clarified by Lawler if more testing is done besides a temperature check.
Testing for the coronavirus in the United States has been scarce compared to other countries in the world. A temperature check has been used in doctor’s offices to see if further testing needs to be administered.
NBA and NHL teams have paid private companies to test players with players testing positive in both leagues.
WWE will hold events for the foreseeable future at the Performance Center. It was announced on Monday that WrestleMania 36 would be moving to the Performance Center due to the coronavirus pandemic. WWE has used a limited roster and personnel for Performance Center events.
