Jerry Lawler Expected To Make Full Recovery After Suffering Stroke

Jerry Lawler’s Twitter account shares an update after the WWE Hall of Famer had a stroke.

Jerry Lawler is in the hospital, and a new update shines some light on his condition.

On February 7, it was reported that Lawler suffered a medical episode, and he was taken to the hospital. He then had surgery, and additional details were unclear. A subsequent report noted that the WWE Hall of Famer had a major stroke. Lawler’s longtime broadcast partner Jim Ross offered an update and stated that King’s prognosis was positive, but he still needed everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

Lawler’s official Twitter account posted an update on February 8 and stated that Lawler’s speech is limited, but he is expected to make a full recovery with rehabilitation. The post noted that Lawler thanks everyone for their support. Alongside the tweet, the account posted an image of Jimmy Hart keeping Lawler company in his hospital room.

Lawler was one of the voices of the Attitude Era alongside Ross; they were the commentary team for Raw and many pay-per-view events. Lawler continued to call the action on Raw and pay-per-views with Michael Cole for several years. He has remained involved with WWE in recent years; he appeared on the January 23 episode of WWE Raw.

On behalf of Fightful, we send our best wishes out to Lawler, his friends and his family. Fightful will continue to provide the latest updates on Lawler’s health and well being.
