Jeff Hardy Says He Will Have Knee Surgery In The Coming Days; Expects To Miss 6 To 9 Months
Jeff Hardy provides an update on his injury.
Last night on SmackDown, The Hardy Boyz dropped the SmackDown Tag Team Titles due to a knee injury plaguing Jeff Hardy. Hardy reportedly suffered the injury at the Apr. 20 live event, teaming with Matt Hardy against The Usos. The next night, Jeff was in Matt’s corner and was said to be “limping significantly” at ringside.
In storyline, Lars Sullivan is being credited with injuring The Charismatic Enigma.
In an interview with WWE.com, Hardy discussed his injury and how long he’ll be on the shelf for.
“My knee has been weak for a while but (Lars) just put the finishing point on it. I’m going to be out for 6 to 9 months.”
Hardy said he will be undergoing surgery in the coming days.
“I’m gonna have my whole right knee repaired, everything in there that’s bad. Hopefully, the first four months go extremely well. It’s a bummer, but I needed a new knee. There’s a lot of wear and tear on it.”
