Jeff Hardy ‘Arrested’ After Running Over Elias; IC Title Tournament Update
The May 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown started off with a lot of excitement and uncertainty and has completely changed the complexion of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.
When SmackDown went down the air, the belief was that Jeff Hardy would face Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles would face Elias and then the winners would meet in the tournament finals to crown a new Intercontinental Champion.
That all changed when the show went on the air with a chaotic scene of Elias being put onto a stretcher after having been run over by a car that was later revealed to belong to Jeff Hardy.

Concerning Daniel Bryan’s Intercontinental Championship semi-final match, Sheamus would win a Battle Royal and earn the right to challenge Bryan later in the evening. The winner of that match will face AJ Styles on the June 12 episode of SmackDown to crown the new Intercontinental Champion.
