Jeff Hardy And Randy Orton Qualify For WWE World Cup
The WWE World Cup field continues to grow.
On Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Jeff Hardy and
Hardy qualified with a victory over Samoa Joe. The bout was stopped by the referee as Joe was unable to continue due to a knee injury. Joe suffered the injury, in storyline, in his Super Show-Down bout against AJ Styles. During the match, Styles attacked the knee of Joe and eventually forced him to tap out with the calf crusher.
Orton downed a returning Big Show with a RKO to earn his spot in the World Cup.
Hardy and Orton join John Cena and Kurt Angle as the competitors who have qualified for the World Cup. Cena qualified via being John Cena while Kurt Angle, dressed as a Conquistador, won the 10-man Global Battle Royal on Raw.
The World Cup takes place on Nov. 2 at Crown Jewel.
