Jeff Cobb Says He Wants To Be A Part Of ROH And NJPW’s G1 Supercard Show, And Talks His Eventful 2018
Jeff Cobb has had an amazing 2018.
2018 has been a bookmark year for wrestling. Fans have seen Kenny Omega climb the hill and become IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho become IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Neville make his return to wrestling and many classic matches have occurred this year as well. A number of wrestlers’ breakout year has been this year and in the eyes of some, the current ROH World Television Champion Jeff Cobb is one of those breakout stars of 2018 despite Cobb already being established in terms of wrestling fans knowing who he is and what he can do.
In the span of three months, Jeff Cobb captured the ROH World Television Title, won PWG’s Battle Of Los Angeles Tournament and defeated WALTER to become PWG World Champion. Jeff was asked about his eventful 2018 while being interviewed by ‘News a Rama’ and Cobb feels that he “arrived” one-to-two years ago when he started in PWG.
“I think it was maybe more about a year and a half or two years ago when I started with PWG and I think PWG is a place that once you’re a regular there you’ve arrived as well. I was beginning to get more noticed there too.” He said.
Cobb wants to carry his momentum from 2018 into 2019 and one of the goals he has set for himself is to be a part of New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor’s G1 Supercard show at Madison Square Garden on April 6th.
“Definitely one goal would be to be on the Supercard show during WrestleMania weekend.” He said. “You can wrestle in arenas across the country, but the Garden is the Mecca. I’m about to be in more New Japan tours and yeah, would love to be in the G1.”
