Jeff Cobb To Defend ROH TV Title Against Shane Taylor At 17th Anniversary Event, Updated Card

ROH announced that Jeff Cobb will put his Television Title on the line against Shane Taylor at the 17th Anniversary Event.

Ever since Taylor pushed Cobb to the limit in a non-title match last fall, the big man from the mean streets of East Cleveland has been obsessed with getting Cobb back in the ring, but with the title on the line this time. Not only has Taylor been racking up victories, but he also has gotten Cobb’s attention by jumping him every chance he can.

At Honor Reigns Supreme in January, Taylor was supposed to compete in a Proving Ground Instant Reward Match also involving Cobb, Jonathan Gresham and Rhett Titus, but Taylor said before the bout that it was disrespectful for him to have to wrestle in a Proving Ground Match, and he walked out. After Cobb prevailed, Taylor returned and attacked the champion from behind. During a recent episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” Taylor again attacked Cobb and left him lying after hitting Greetings From 216.

Cobb has been dominant since steamrolling Punishment Martinez in under 90 seconds to win
the ROH World Television Title in September in his first match in ROH, but he undoubtedly will have his hands full with Taylor, one of the few competitors in ROH who can match Cobb’s power and killer instinct.

Will Cobb continue his undefeated streak in ROH? Or will Taylor win his first title in ROH? Join us in-person in Las Vegas, on pay-per-view or streaming for HonorClub VIP to find out!
