Jay White Says He Feels More Comfortable In Bullet Club Than He Did In ‘CHAOS’
The “Switchblade” opens up his thoughts ahead of Wrestle Kingdom 13.
It was at the NJPW ‘King Of Pro Wrestling’ show this past October where the match card for Wrestle Kingdom 13 began to take shape and new alliances were formed heading into the Tokyo Dome show on January 4th. Also at ‘King Of Pro Wrestling’, Hiroshi Tanahashi defended his right to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 13 against “Switchblade” Jay White. Tanahashi did defeat Jay but post-match Jay ended up revealing his alliance with Bullet Club and officially joined Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Taiji Ishimori and Bad Luck Fale. A week ago Tama Tonga made a video addressing those who had a problem with Jay White being a part of and being the leader of Bullet Club.
Tomorrow at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Jay White will be squaring off against Kazuchika Okada in a grudge match and ahead of their bout, “Switchblade” did an interview with the New Japan Pro Wrestling website and stated that he feels more comfortable in Bullet Club than he did in ‘CHAOS’.
“Of course. There were conflicting ideas in CHAOS. The way Okada thought things should be done conflicted with how I thought things should be done. In Bullet Club, we are all on the same page. We showed that in our matches. I don’t think we’ve lost, I have never lost to anybody especially on the last tour. Seven wins in a row against Okada and Tanahashi that shows we are on the same page.” White expressed. “There’s no conflicting idea. Before, in CHAOS things were falling apart. You had YOSHI-HASHI getting hit verbally by myself and Okada getting hit sometimes in matches, people colliding. We were on the different page. I had to go through the whole G1 Climax tour in those tag matches having YOH just not listen so he kept paying the price every single time. He just needed to listen to me. Bullet Club doesn’t need to be told like CHAOS guys did because we are on the same page, we have the same ideas so everything happens very naturally and easily.”
Jay White also talked about his “Bladerunner” finishing maneuver during the interview. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp had the opportunity to chat with Jay White as well about the “Bladerunner” for the ‘Making A Finisher’ series.
