James Storm’s Impact HOF Picks? The Fake Undertaker And Wolfie D… Kind Of
Impact Wrestling's Slammiversary is fast approaching, and with it will come a new induction in their Hall of Fame.
Sting, Gail Kim, Team 3D, Earl Hebner, Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle currently grace the hall, and "Cowboy" James Storm has been a name thrown around as a possible induction after 15 years with TNA and Impact. However, not only does Storm wish to wait, he has suggestions for who should be inducted.
"It wouldn't be someone on the active roster. I don't anyone who is still wrestling should go into the Hall of Fame. I would have to say — there was a tag team called The New Church back in the day, Slash and Brian Lee. A lot of people hear you say that and ask 'why?" They don't know what they did (for) so many guys behind the scenes, helped them out. They helped me out a lot. To me, guys like that deserve to go into the Hall of Fame. People who helped outside the ring to make people better inside the ring," Storm said in a video on Impact's Youtube.
The group, managed by Father James Mitchell, featured several other names including Sinn (Kizarny) and Malice. Slash and Lee would capture the NWA Tag Team Championships in TNA, and be an important part of the formative years of the company, feuding with Storm's America's Most Wanted.
Many fans will remember Slash as Wolfie D from PG-13 and Nation of Domination fame. Lee, in addition to his run in ECW, performed as the fake Undertaker and Chainz in the WWF. Lee has rarely been seen in wrestling for well over a decade, but you can check out one of their classic matches against AMW below.
Impact Wrestling Slammiversary takes place July 2, with Fightful.com bringing you full, live coverage of the show and a post-show podcast.
