Jake Roberts On WWE Releases: It Might Be Your Biggest Break; There’s A Place For You In Wrestling

Jake “The Snake” Roberts comments on the recent slew of WWE releases.

On September 21, 2023, WWE released several wrestlers including Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Emma, Mustafa Ali, Dana Brooke, and more. Since the day they were released, many in the wrestling industry have reached out to offer words of encouragement and positivity.

Jake Roberts, on the latest episode of his Snake Pit podcast, offered up his own advice to those who have departed WWE, letting them know that there is still a place for them in wrestling outside of the sports entertainment juggernaut.

“Brother, it happens, man. This is an evil fucking business. Hey, look at it this way, it might be your biggest break. You never know,” he said. “Guys, start over, man. I guess it was a lot easier for me because back in my day, we started over every time you moved from territory to territory. So you had to learn how to fit in. Well, there’s still a place for you guys in wrestling, it’s just not with WWE. Look around you, you’ll see what I’m talking about. You’ll get it.”

Trust him.
