When Malcolm interviewed Hager at Starrcast, hats were on the mind.
When asked where he got his trademark purple bucket hat from, Hager replied, “That’s a tough question. An ex-friend, it’s kind of recent, gave it to me. I still like this hat.”
Hager was then asked to rate certain types of hats.
Dad Hat: I like them. Sometimes wear them, sometimes not. It works.
Fedora: Where is the situation where you need a fedora? [Church is mentioned]. Okay, something dressier.
Snap Back: Nowadays, maybe I’m insecure, but I feel if you’re wearing a snapback, you’re probably balding. Sorry.

Hager is signed to AEW, where he likes his hat, but may no longer appreciate Chris Jericho after the Jericho Appreciation Society was disbanded.
