Jade Cargill: I Brought In Outside Eyes During My TBS Title Run, The Culture Wasn’t Familiar With AEW

Jade Cargill says she brought new eyes to AEW during her TBS Championship reign.

Cargill is currently away from the company, as she last competed for AEW at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in May. Before her absence, Cargill was presented as one of the biggest stars in the company, as she regularly competed in top matches and even held the TBS Championship for over 500 days.

In a new interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Cargill was asked if she brought revenue to the company during her historic title reign.

“I did. I brought a lot of outside eyes to this company. You can never say that — I mean, a lot of people didn’t even know about AEW. The culture was not that familiar with AEW. Everybody’s familiar with WWE because it’s a fifty something year old company, so this new company that’s four or five years old, nobody knows about it unless you’re a hardcore wrestling fan. So my job is to bring those outside eyes to our company, our company is phenomenal, we’re something that you’ve never seen before. I’m something that you’ve never seen before and that’s my job.”

It is currently unknown when Cargill will return to AEW. Fightful will update fans when more information is made available.

Elsewhere in the interview, Jade Cargill praised Tony Khan, calling him a phenomenal boss. Fans can learn more here.
