Jack Cartwheel: Why Are We Thinking About Terrible Things? Let’s Think About Cartwheels
Everyone loves cartwheels.
Jack Cartwheel, as his name implies, is known for his cartwheels. Whether he’s coming down the aisle doing cartwheels or incorporating a cartwheel into his wrestling arsenal, Jack Cartwheel is all about the cartwheel.
“My love of Cartwheels, I’ve been doing gymnastics since I was like three years old. Legitimately, one of my first memories was inside of a gym, and growing up that’s what I loved to do. I stopped doing it when I was a sophomore in high school, I had a really bad back injury. One of the best moves that I did incorporated a cartwheel. The floor and vault were my two best things and the move that I did in the vault was called a tsukahara, and essentially it’s a cartwheel over the vault and then you go into another flip. It looks exactly like a Sasuke special if the table was in the ring. My last name is Cartwright, so that helps. Always, growing up, I wanted to have a name in gymnastics. They have a code of moves and I wanted a name after myself. The imaginary move that I made is a lot like a Sasuke special. It’s great that I still get to do it and I love the cartwheels and I think every single day, doing a cartwheel when you’re happy, do a cartwheel when you’re sad, there is a lot to it. I’m just glad I get to do it and people love it. When you see people doing cartwheels, you’re not thinking of bad things. Let’s think about cartwheels, why are we thinking of this terrible thing? We can talk about cartwheels,” Jack told Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight.
Jack Cartwheel has become a breakout star on the independent scene through his appearances on GCW and more.
