Internal Injury Updates On Jeff Hardy, Lars Sullivan, EC3, Xavier Woods, Samoa Joe And More

Fightful reached out to several names within WWE about the status of Kairi Sane after she seemed out of it at WWE TLC, but haven’t received an answer.

Samoa Joe has been on commentary after sustaining a broken thumb. His evaluation date is listed internally as December 16, with no return date listed. However, he returned in a physical angle this week.

EC3 has been out of action since sustaining a concussion, which we’re told was worse than some he’d sustained previously. WWE doesn’t have a return date listed for him, but we’re told he’s started to recover from some of the symptoms.

Jinder Mahal’s original expected return date internally was January 2020, then was inexplicably moved up to November 1 internally. We’re well past that, and no update has been provided.

Jeff Hardy’s original expected return date was early November, but he’s still sidelined as WWE is having him take care of his personal and legal issues upon returning. It should be noted that they’ve already extended his contract due to missed time.

Even though he’s not wrestled on TV, Elias is completely cleared and worked a live event match last week against Dolph Ziggler.

Nia Jax is back at the WWE Performance Center preparing and training for a return. WWE’s internal list has her as 1/2020. Ruby Riott internally was listed as the same date.

Xavier Woods is sidelined with a torn achilles, and originally had an “evalutation date” listed internally at July, but that’s been changed to May.

Despite Lars Sullivan being seen training, he’s nowhere near a return, we’re told. Internally, he’s been listed as June 2020 as a “return” date. We’ve also heard that his recovery was going slower than originally expected, as of a few months ago.

We should note, this guidelines are not hard and fast, they are estimates internally by WWE. Conversely, WWE talent have publicly taken issue with some of the miscommunication involved at times. We keep an updated injury list at this link.
