Good evening Fight Fans and welcome to our coverage for IMPACT Wrestling’s IMPACT+ event Turning Point headlined by a rematch for the IMPACT World Championship!
-We open the show with a video highlighting all of tonight’s matches.
Tessa Blanchard & Jordynne Grace vs Madison Rayne & Havok
Madison and Tessa start the match off with Madison pointing out that she’s the locker room leader, Tessa laughing before Jordynne rushes in and Havok tags herself in. Jordynne hits a missile dropkick before she and Tessa double team Havok before Havok hits a kitchen sink and a backbreaker before Madison comes in and gives Havok directions. Havok slams Madison on top of Jordynne for a quick two count before Madison and Havok choke her in the corner before Havok locks in a rear chin lock. Havok mocks Tessa before she comes in and rocks Havok with a flurry of high paced moves and a cutter for a two count that Madison breaks up. Madison comes in and hits a northern lights suplex for a two count before Tessa hits a hammer lock DDT for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace defeat Madison Rayne and Havok via pinfall when Tessa pins Madison with a hammer lock DDT.
-We get a promo by Rhino backstage where he says that he’s going to rip RVD in half with a Gore.
PPW Championship Six-Man Scramble Match
Clutch Adams (c) vs Facade vs Evander James vs DeSean Pratt vs KC Navarro vs Mason
Everyone pairs off and end up at ringside until it’s KC and Clutch left in the ring before KC hits a drop toe hold into a jumping stomp before countering a suplex into a neckbreaker. DeSean comes in and rocks KC with an elbow before Facade comes in and sends KC out of the ring with an enzuigiri and hits DeSean with a huricanrrana into a back elbow and a missile dropkick. Mason hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Facade before hitting a pop-up dropkick and Evander hits Mason with a powerslam before KC takes everyone out at ringside. Facade hits a springboard corkscrew 450 onto everyone at ringside before Clutch grabs the referee and drops Facade once they’re in the ring before Clutch locks in a camel clutch and Mason hits a reverse DDT to Clutch to break up the hold. KC hits running forearms and uppercuts in opposite corners before KC hits Clutch with a Canadian destroyer and DeSean drops KC with a rip cord knee for a two count.
Clutch then drops DeSean with a back elbow for the pin and the win.
Winner: Clutch Adams retains his PPW championship by defeating DeSean Pratt, Facade, Mason, KC Navarro and Evander James when he pins DeSean.
Mike Orlando vs Michael Elgin
They try to knock each other over until Elgin rocks Mike and Mike drops him with a shoulder block before hitting a sit-out powerbomb for a quick two count. Mike sends Elgin out onto the apron and Elgin rocks him with an enzuigiri before hitting a missile dropkick and chopping Mike in the corner before hitting a snap suplex for a two count. Mike and Elgin counter each other until Mike hits a suplex and a DDT before hitting a running uppercut in the corner into a TKO for a two count. Elgin hits a Saito suplex and a falcon arrow for a near fall before Mike hits a German suplex and Elgin hits a DVD for a near fall before dropping Mike with a lariat. Elgin then hits a powerbomb into a discus forearm and a sit-out powerbomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Michael Elgin defeats Mike Orlando via pinfall with a sit-out powerbomb.
-Taya Valkyrie is interviewed backstage ahead of her match against Tenille Dashwood.
Moose vs Fallah Bahh
Moose and Bahh exchange chops before Bahh tosses Moose across the ring and hits a running splash in the corner before tossing him back across the ring. Moose rocks Bahh with a boot and hits a diving cross body before Bahh hits a running cross body and a twisting elbow drop for a quick two count before Moose rolls out of the ring after dropping Bahh. Back in the ring Moose stomps Bahh and starts focusing on his leg before yelling at him and slapping Bahh. Bahh hits a release German suplex before he seemingly tweaks his knee and hits a pop-up sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Bahh hits a running hip attack in the corner before Moose catches him on the top turnbuckle and hits a superplex, but Bahh is right back up before turning Moose inside out with a lariat for a near fall.
Moose then hits several running dropkicks in the corner into a spear for the pin and the win.
Winner: Moose defeats Fallah Bahh via pinfall with a spear.
-Rich Swann and Willie Mack are interviewed backstage about their tag title challenge before they’re interrupted by the champions The North.
Taya Valkyrie w/John E. Bravo vs Tenille Dashwood
Taya mocks Tenille before they lock up and Taya takes Tenille down with a side headlock takeover before Tenille gets back to her feet and applies a headlock of her own. They grapple on the mat before exchanging standing switches and Tenille hits an arm drag before taking Taya down and sweeping her legs. Tenille gets a quick two count off of a roll up before hitting a side Russian leg sweep for a two count before sending Taya out of the ring. Tenille gets distracted by John at ringside before she chases Taya around the ring and they get back in the ring where Taya hits a basement dropkick for a two count. Taya plays to the crowd and covers Tenille for a quick two count before driving her knee into the spine of Tenille before Tenille gets a two count off of an inside cradle.
Taya distracts the referee before John chokes Tenille in the ropes and Taya locks in a variation of a sharpshooter before Tenille gets to the ropes. Taya distracts the referee again while John chokes Tenille again before Taya hits running knees in the corner and Tenille comes back with clotheslines. Tenille locks in a tarantula before hitting a diving cross body for a two count and Taya rocks her with a stiff forearm before sending Tenille face first into the middle turnbuckle. Taya hits a running hip attack for a two count before Tenille counters a package piledriver and Taya drops her with a high knee for a near fall. Tenille then gets a near fall before John grabs her by the leg and Tenille throws Mr.Mundo before Taya rolls her up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Taya Valkyrie defeats Tenille Dashwood via pinfall.
-After the match Taya and John attack Tenille before she’s saved by Jordynne Grace.
IMPACT World Tag Team Championship Match
The North (c) vs Rich Swann & Willie Mack
Ethan and Rich start the match off for their respective teams by exchanging headlocks before they run the ropes until Rich hits a dropkick into a blockbuster before Willie kicks Ethan in the arm and drops Josh with a back drop when he rushes in. Willie drops Josh with a shoulder tackle before he and Rich hit Josh with a double bulldog for a two count before Rich knocks Ethan off of the apron. Ethan hits an assisted DDT before stomping Rich in the midsection and he and Josh isolate Swann before Josh hits a uranage for a two count when Rich goes to tag Willie. Ethan hits a spinning backbreaker and plays to the crowd before Rich finally gets the tag to Willie who clotheslines both members of The North and hits a cannonball in opposite corners. Willie hits a Samoan drop into a standing moonsault for a near fall that Josh breaks up. Rich hits a back flip moonsault for a two count before Josh sends Willie out of the ring and hits Willie with a tope before Rich hits one.
Everyone hits a kick until they collapse before Rich and Willie double up on Ethan and Ethan hits a border toss to Rich before hitting Willie with a double Styles clash for the pin and the win.
Winner: The North Retain their IMPACT World Tag Team titles by defeating Rich Swann and Willie Mack via pinfall when they pin Willie with a double Styles clash.
-After the match we go backstage to Sami Callihan trying to motivate Jake Crist ahead of his match against Ace Austin for the X-Division Championship.
Eddie Edwards vs Shera
Shera and Eddie lock up and spin around until Eddie backs Shera into the ropes for a clean break before Eddie locks in a headlock and Shera shoves him away before Shera drops Eddie with a shoulder block. Eddie sends Shera out of the ring and hits a slingshot cross body onto the floor before chopping Shera at ringside. Shera sweeps the legs of Eddie and sends him crashing down onto the apron and down onto the floor before sending him into the ring post several times. Shera rolls Eddie back into the ring and whips him across the ring before Eddie catches Shera with an uppercut and a missile dropkick. Eddie hits an inverted atomic drop into a blue thunder bomb for a two count before headbutting Shera and Shera hits a spinebuster for a two count of his own.
Shera hits a powerslam for a two count before Eddie counters a sky high into a small package for a near fall before dropping Shera with a running knee. Eddie then chops Shera before hitting the Boston Knee Party for the pin and the win.
Winner: Eddie Edwards defeats Shera via pinfall with the Boston Knee Party.
X-Division Championship Match
Ace Austin (c) vs Jake Crist
They exchange standing switches and headlocks before Ace dropkicks Jake and goes for a Fujiwara armbar before giving Jake a paper cut with a playing card. Ace hits a space flying tiger drop to the outside and rocks Jake with a drive by before Jake counters a suplex onto the apron and hits Ace with a back suplex onto the apron for a two count once they’re back in the ring. Jake chokes Ace in the ropes and sends him face first into the top turnbuckle before clawing at the eyes of Ace, Ace rocking Jake with kicks before Jake hits a DVD for a two count. Ace hits an enzuigiri into a rolling kick before hitting an inside out reverse DDT for a near fall before Jake sets Ace on the top turnbuckle and Ace counters a diving cutter. Ace then hits The Fold for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ace Austin retains his X-Division Championship by defeating Jake Crist via pinfall with The Fold.
RVD w/Katie Forbes vs Rhino
They brawl at ringside before the match starts and Rhino tosses RVD into the ring before he rolls back out and Rhino sends RVD into the railing. Back in the ring RVD teases a rolling thunder before hitting a slingshot leg drop and a springboard crescent kick before playing to the crowd and Katie holds a chair for RVD before RVD teases a Vanterminator. Rhino dodges a split legged moonsault before hitting a superplex for a two count and clotheslining RVD before hitting a belly to belly suplex. Rhino hits the Gore for a near fall, Katie putting RVD’s foot on the bottom rope before Rhino grabs a chair and the referee takes the chair away before Katie hits a low blow. RVD then brings a table into the ring before Rhino counters a spear and Gores RVD through the table for the disqualification.
Winner: RVD defeats Rhino via disqualification when Rhino puts RVD through a table.
-After the match Rhino chases the referee to the back with a chair as RVD and Katie celebrate in the ring.
-We get a video package recapping the Sami Callihan and Brian Cage saga ahead of their championship rematch in tonight’s main event.
IMPACT World Championship Match
Sami Callihan (c) vs Brian Cage
Sami boots Brian and hits a powerbomb before playing to the crowd and Brian hits a huricanrrana into a scoop slam before hitting a running clothesline and clubbing clotheslines in the corner. Brian catches Sami and throws him over his head before Sami bites his hand and boots Brian from the apron before Brian powerbombs him onto the apron. Brian chops Sami at ringside before sending him into the ring post before Sami accidentally chops the ring post and Sami piledrives Brian onto the apron. Sami drives his knee into Brian against the steps before he gets back into the ring and plays to the crowd before knocking Brian off of the apron and Brian hits an F5 onto the apron. Brian rocks Sami with a boot and a high knee before superkicking him and hitting a release German suplex before Sami spits in his face and Brian clotheslines him.
Brian hits a cheeky nandos before Sami hits a DVD for a near fall and hits a draping piledriver for another near fall before Brian hits an exploder suplex for a near fall. Sami hits a code red for a near fall before he grabs the belt and Brian accidentally clotheslines the referee before hitting Sami with an F5, but the referee is incapacitated and unable to make the count. Jake comes in and Brian slams both him and Sami before Fulton comes in and Brian gets choke slammed by Fulton before Sami hits him with the belt. Sami then hits a piledriver for the pin and the win.
Winner:Sami Callihan retains his IMPACT World Championship by defeating Brian Cage via pinfall with a piledriver.
