– We open tonight’s show with a recap of Kenny Omega defeating Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship with the help of Don Callis after Kenny knocked Jon out with a microphone and fled the arena.
– We see a tour bus outside of the arena as Josh tells us that he’s going to have an exclusive interview with Kenny later tonight.
Josh Alexander w/ Ethan Page vs Chris Sabin w/ Alex Shelley
Chris and Josh run the ropes before Chris hits several arm drags into a straight arm bar before Josh hits a rolling senton before kneeing Chris in the midsection. Josh hits a backbreaker for two before kneeing him in the side of the face and locking in a rear chin lock before Chris hits a stunner to get free. Chris rolls through into a school boy for two before rocking Josh with a kick and gets two off of a crucifix into a dragon screw before getting two off of a cradle. Chris hits a suicide dive and sends Josh backwards onto the ramp when Josh rolls out of the ring before tossing him back inside and hitting a diving cross body for two. They exchange standing switches before Josh catches Chris when he goes for a hurricanrana and powerbombs Chris onto his knee for two.
Josh hits an overhead belly to back suplex before Chris dropkicks the back of his neck and follows up with a shining wizard. Josh drops Chris with a rip cord forearm before arguing with Ethan over how to finish the match. Ethan then tells Josh to go for a butterfly suplex before Chris pins him with a jack knife cover for the win.
Winner: Chris Sabin defeats Josh Alexander via pinfall.
– Josh and Madison talk about what Kenny and Don did Wednesday night and how he’s going to interview them about their goals and why Kenny is showing up in IMPACT.
– Backstage Chris Bey tries to talk to Moose ahead of their tag match later tonight before Moose threatens him. Chris then tells Moose that he should be nicer to him, especially after he defeats Rich Swann for the IMPACT World Championship at Final Resolution Saturday night.
– During the break on AXS TV AEW President Tony Khan and commentator Tony Schiavone show up on a paid ad and says that he doesn’t like how Kenny won the title. Tony then invites Don to join Kenny tomorrow before breaking down the card for Dynamite tomorrow night. Tony then jokingly addresses rumors that he could even buy IMPACT Wrestling if he wants to.
Brian Myers vs TJP
Brian shoves TJP backwards when they lock up before exchanging arm drags and TJP dropkicks Brian out onto the apron before taking him down once he’s back in the ring. TJP locks in a Muta Lock before Brian gets to the bottom rope for the break before TJP stands on his head and hits a head scissors into a wrecking ball dropkick when Brian rolls out of the ring. Back in the ring Brian crotches TJP on the top turnbuckle and dumps him off of the top rope and down onto the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back to TJP hitting a tornado DDT before hitting a springboard cross body into a series of suplexes before going back up top. TJP rolls through when he misses a dive before Brian hits a jumping flat liner and TJP locks in a knee bar before Brian gets to the ropes for the break. TJP hits a back suplex into a diving splash, but Brian gets his knees up for a near fall before TJP locks in another knee bar. Brian then throws the referee into TJP to break the hold before hitting a spine buster into a clothesline that turns TJP inside out for the pin and the win.
Winner: Brian Myers defeats TJP via pinfall.
– Backstage The Deaners discuss Cody’s match against Eric Young, Cody telling Jake to stay out of the way and not interfere in the match.
– TJP is backstage when he walks into X-Division champion Rohit Raju who mocks him before TJP wishes him luck tonight in the Defeat Rohit Challenge.
Eric Young w/Joe Doering vs Cody Deaner w/Cousin Jake
Cody rushes Eric and hits a back drop before EY turns it around and beats on Cody in the corner before Cody hits a Thesz press and stomps EY down in the corner. Cody screams at EY that he’s not a nobody before Cody goes shoulder first into the post and EY immediately starts focusing on his now injured shoulder. Cody comes back with a clothesline into a scoop slam and a back elbow before getting distracted by Joe when he’s up top. Cody then misses a diving splash before EY hits a piledriver for the pin and the win.
Winner: Eric Young defeats Cody Deaner via pinfall.
– After the match Joe attacks both Cody and Jake before they go for a double piledriver and are ran off by Rhino with a pipe.
– Backstage Tommy Dreamer tells John E. Bravo to relax and trust him to take care of Larry D before walking up to XXXL with a kendo stick. Larry then challenges Tommy to a match where if he loses he will go to jail and if he wins he’ll go away a free man as we go to commercial.
– Tommy meets with Scott D’Amore in his office where he tells Scott that he’s worried about Kenny and Don being here. Tommy says that it won’t work well for the locker room and it sets a precedent before Scott tells Tommy to keep the locker room happy.
Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament First Round Match
Deonna Purrazzo & Kimber Lee vs Taya Valkyrie & Rosemary
Rosemary and Deonna start the match off with Rosemary choking Deonna before Deonna takes her down to the mat with a straight arm bar. Lee and Taya come in and Taya hits a running cross body before Lee drops her with a boot for two before Deonna and Lee isolate Taya and cut the ring in half. Deonna hits Rosemary on the apron and baits her into distracting the referee, getting she and Lee a few extra seconds. Taya and Lee drop each other with forearms before Rosemary gets the hot tag and runs over Deonna with clotheslines into a sling blade and a running splash in the corner into a fall away slam for two. Rosemary counters an arm bar before Deonna hits a flat liner and Lee a flipping neckbreaker before Deonna and Lee get hit with a double clothesline by Taya.
All four Knockouts exchange strikes before Deonna accidentally boots Lee and Rosemary spears her out of the ring before Rosemary hits a Wing Clipper for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie defeat Kimber Lee and Deonna Purrazzo to advance to the next round of the tournament.
– Backstage Tenille and Kaleb meet with Alisha who is more focused on getting revenge on Sami Callihan instead of teaming with her as we go to commercial.
– We come back to Deonna and Kimber Lee arguing backstage before they run into Scott who says that she can focus on her Knockouts Championship before making a title match between her and Rosemary.
– We go to the ring where Sami Callihan cuts a promo about how IMPACT needs him more than he needs them. Sami talks about how he’s carried IMPACT on his back and about how he nearly blinded Eddie with a baseball bat. Sami shows a clip of his attack on Eddie before Alisha comes out onto the ramp and Sami mocks her. Sami says that there is a difference between him and EY before saying that he’s going to break her neck if she gets into the ring with him. Eddie then comes in from behind and attacks Sami before Sami ducks when Eddie goes to hit him with his baseball bat and flees over the railing.
– We then see Kenny and Don’s bus once again as we go to commercial.
– We come back to Alisha and Eddie backstage with Eddie fired up with Sami’s bat in his hands before they leave off screen and we go back to the ring for our next match.
Chris Bey & Moose vs Rich Swann & Willie Mack
Chris and Rich kick things off for their respective teams by running the ropes and flipping until Rich sends Chris through the ropes and lands on his feet when Chris goes for a head scissors. Rich then side steps a dropkick by Chris before hitting a hip toss into a dropkick of his own as we go to commercial.
We come back to Willie and Moose in the ring with Willie in control, hitting a running cannonball into the corner before Moose hits a pair of uranage. Moose slams Chris on top of Willie for two before choking him in the corner and Moose comes back in, dropping Willie with a chop while talking to Rich on the apron. Moose and Chris try one up each other on how much pain they can cause Willie before Willie comes back with a pair of stunner to Moose. Willie gets the hot tag to Rich who boots Chris on the apron and kicks Moose in the midsection before Moose powerbombs him and tags Chris back in. Rich sends Moose over the top rope before dropping him with a superkick when he gets back in and hits a frankensteiner when Chris is on the top turnbuckle, sending Chris down onto Moose for two.
Willie gets the tag and misses a frog splash before Chris hits Rich with a spinning heel kick and Willie hits a pop-up punch before Moose spears him. Moose beats on Willie in mount before Rich sends Moose out of the ring and Chris covers Willie for the pin and the win.
Winner: Chris Bey and Moose defeat Willie Mack and Rich Swann via pinfall.
– We then go to Josh and Madison before we see the bus once more as we go to commercial.
– We come back to Rich trying to leave the arena only to be told by security that the champion has the parking lot blocked off. Rich says that Moose needs to stop pretending he’s champion before he’s informed that Kenny Omega is the champion he’s talking about. Josh then walks back and outside when he’s verified to be on the list, but the IMPACT champion is not which infuriates Rich.
– Josh enters the bus and sits down before Don and Kenny come out and all three sit down before Don and Kenny switch out the name plate on the AEW World Championship. Josh talks about what happened Wednesday before asking Don and Kenny how long the plan has been in the works. They toss Jon’s nameplate onto the floor before Don says that it all stated twenty seven years ago when he was trained by The Golden Sheik; Kenny’s uncle. Don talks about how he met Kenny when he was ten and how he’s always looked after Kenny like the Sheik looked after him. Don mocks everyone thinking that he came back to wrestling to be a commentator, but it was his plan to be there when Kenny won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Dom says that he and Kenny are family and how they changed the course of wrestling history several times in Kenny’s career. Don says that they set the course of history right when Kenny took the title from Jon Moxley before Josh asks if what happened tarnished their legacy. Kenny reverses the roles and asks Josh what he would do if someone attacked the man he saw as his father. Kenny says that Jon broke the gentleman’s agreement when he attacked Don and that he took revenge on Jon for what he did before talking about how he’s on the list of top matches anywhere in the world. Kenny gets very agitated and says that they’re there because they can, they live in style and Kenny says that he collected comic books as a child.
Kenny says that he loves traveling and collecting titles before saying that they have to leave to make their way to Jacksonville for Dynamite tomorrow night. Kenny then teases what will happen tomorrow night before saying his signature “Goodbye, and goodnight!” before they leave off camera as we go off the air.
