IMPACT Wrestling Results for 10/14/21 Chris Bey vs Chris Sabin

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV!
El Phantasmo (w/ Bullet Club (Chris Bey & Hikuleo) vs Rohit Raju vs Willie Mack
El is immediately sent out of the ring as Willie drops Rohit repeatedly and suplexes him before El comes back in and rakes his back before locking in a standing side headlock and sends Willie out onto the apron before Rohit knocks him off. Rohit and El exchange strikes until Rohit sweeps El and hits a falling elbow drop for two before Willie comes back in and hits a pop-up forearm that sends Rohit out of the ring before El rakes his back again. El hits Willie with forearms and a springboard cross body before hitting an asai moonsault for two before hitting Rohit with a suicide dive and Willie with a springboard swanton bomb for a near fall. Rohit puts El in the tree of woe before he and Willie hit cannonballs in the corner to El before Rohit hits Willie with a diving stomp across the back for a near fall that El breaks up. El and Rohit double team Willie who clotheslines the two of them for their troubles before hitting running clotheslines in opposite corners before hitting a double Samoan drop and a double standing moonsault for a near fall. El rolls to the outside before Willie counters a superplex and El hits a frankensteiner with Willie onto Rohit before hitting Willie with a diving splash for a near fall before Willie catches a boot and hits a stunner.
Hikuleo and Bey get on the apron and distract the referee before Willie knocks them off and hits a tope to take them both out before Rohit rolls El up for a near fall before hitting a jumping flat liner for another near fall. Rohit and El then counter each other until El hits Rohit with the CRII for pin and the win.
Winner: El Phantasmo defeats Willie Mack, and Rohit Raju via pinfall.
– We get a backstage interview with Ace Austin and Madman Fulton ahead of them competing in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory ahead of a battle royal later tonight where the winning team gets to enter the Gauntlet last.
Savannah Evans (w/ Tasha Steelz) vs Lady Frost
Lady hits Savannah with strikes before she runs the ropes and Savannah squashes her before hitting a shoulder tackle in the corner into a suplex before chopping her in the corner and dropping her with a boot as we go to commercial with Savannah in complete control.
We come back from the break to Savannah beating on Lady against the ropes before suplexing her and whipping her into the corner before running into the post and Lady hits a flurry in the corner before dropkicking the knee of Savannah. Savannah then clotheslines Lady before picking her up and hits a full nelson slam for the pin and the win.
Winner: Savannah Evans defeats Lady Frost via pinfall.
– After the match Knockouts Women’s champion Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt come out to the ring and face off with Savannah and Tasha before Deonna gets on the mic and enlists Savannah to face Mickey James next week to which she accepts.
– Backstage Gail Kim is interviewed about the success of Knockouts Knockdown this past weekend before she’s interrupted by Decay before it’s announced that Decay will defend their Knockouts Tag Team titles at Bound for Glory against the debuting team of The Inspiration, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay.
Rich Swann (w/ Willie Mack) vs VsK (w/ Brian Myers)
Rich and VsK start the match off by exchanging pin attempts before VsK hits a scoop slam into a jumping splash for two before hitting a running uppercut and boot in the corner into a sliding uppercut for two. VsK wrenches the head and neck of Rich before he gets to his feet and rocks VsK with a flurry of strikes before hitting a neckbreaker into a jumping splash and a phoenix splash off of the second rope for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rich Swann defeats VsK via pinfall.
– At Johnny’s Palace one of the Swingerella’s confesses her love to Johnny and is turned down as Johnny says that he’s not a one woman man before she runs off and cries. Chris Sabin then shows up and Swingerella #2 confesses her love to him, but he rejects her and says that his one true love is the ring before she leaves as romantic music plays in the background and he sits down. Chris then recalls memories from his time at Swinger’s Palace as we get a black and white video package over sad rock music as we go to commercial.
– Heath meets with Scott D’Amore and finally signs his contract to become an official member of the IMPACT roster with the caveat of making a tag match with he and Rhino versus Violent By Design for Bound for Glory.
Chris Bey (w/ Bullet Club (El Phantasmo & Hikuleo)) vs Chris Sabin (w/ FinJuice)
Bey and Sabin lock up and go all around the ring until Sabin backs Bey into the corner for a clean break before Sabin hits a fireman’s carry into a straight armbar before Bey arm drags Sabin. The two exchange arm drags before El gets on the apron and distracts Sabin briefly before Bullet Club and FinJuice nearly come to blows and the referee ejects both teams from ringside. Bey and Sabin have a test of strength before Bey kicks Sabin in the midsection and Sabin knees Bey in the midsection against the ropes before putting him in the tree of woe and choking him before hitting a running dropkick. Bey traps Sabin in the ropes and kicks him before hitting a diving elbow drop for two before Sabin hits a sunset flip for two and Bey an uppercut and pair of enzuigiri in the corner into a diving cross body for two. Sabin comes back by countering a head scissors and hits a boot in the corner into a rolling northern lights suplex for two before Bey hits an inverted fireman’s carry neckbreaker for a near fall.
Bey then misses a high angle splash off of the top before Sabin gets a near fall off of a crucifix pin before they clothesline each other and counter each other until Sabin hits a driver for the pin and the win.
Winner: Chris Sabin defeats Chris Bey via pinfall.
– We get a backstage interview with Trey Miguel ahead of his competing in the X-Division Championship Triple Threat match at Bound for Glory before Alex Zayne shows up and challenges Trey to a match as we go to commercial.
– We get a taped promo by The Good Brothers who are upset that there is still no number one contender for their tag titles ahead of Bound for Glory.
Battle Royal
Alisha is immediately eliminated before Swinger eliminates himself to get away from Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren before Petey is next to be eliminated and Rachel eliminates Brian before Laredo Kid is next to be eliminated by Hernandez. Black Taurus and Hernandez are next to be eliminated before Rachel and Raj are next to be eliminated as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Fallah Bahh having now been eliminated before Jake Something is eliminated by Fulton and Ace before Ace eliminates Kimber and Fulton eliminates Brandi before Fulton shoulder blocks Cardona over the top rope and out of the ring. W and Moose then eliminate Fulton as Sabin and Ace choke each other in the corner and W and Moose look on as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break Moose and W in control of Ace and Chris before eliminating Ace and beating on Sabin before Sabin eliminates Moose and nearly eliminates W before W drops him with a boot and dumps him out of the ring for the elimination and the win.
Winner: W.Morrissey wins the battle royal by being the last person in the ring.
– We go back to the ring to earlier today for the Bound for Glory Summit which is basically a sit-down style interview between the IMPACT World champion Christian Cage and the challenger Josh Alexander ahead of their title match at Bound for Glory. Josh then interviews Alexander and Cage before Alexander gets upset and Christian remarks on how Josh can’t keep a handle on his emotions before Josh leaves as we go off the air.
