IMPACT Wrestling Bound for Glory 2020 Results Three New Champions Crowned
The World Class Maniac defends his IMPACT World Championship against Rich Swann tonight at 8pm EST!
Good evening Fight Fans, we hope your weekend is going well and you’re ready for the last big event in the calendar year for IMPACT Wrestling; Bound for Glory!
Pre-Show
– We open the pre-show with a panel before we get an extended video package for Eric Young and Rich Swann ahead of their IMPACT World Championship match in our main event.
– We get a video package for Ken Shamrock ahead of his match against Eddie Edwards and Ken being inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame before Brett Hart talks about how much Ken deserves the honor and how good of friends the two are.
– We get an extended video package for the Knockouts Championship match between the champion Deonna Purrazzo and the challenger for her title, Kylie Rae. Deonna is then interviewed backstage where she says that she’s going to cement her legacy when she defends her title
– Mick Foley, Bas Rutten, Chael Sonnen and Ariel Helwani congratulate Ken for his being inducted into the hall of fame.
The Rascalz vs The Deaners
Jake and Wentz start the much off before Wentz and Dez double up on Jake before The Deaners clear the ring. Cody gets hit with an enzuigiri when he goes for a suicide dive through the legs of Jake. Wentz hits a tope and takes out Jake before Dez meets Cody up top Jake sales Cody from a double superplex. Jake hits a double powerbomb before Cody gets a near fall that Dez breaks up by superkicking Cody. The Rascalz then go for their finisher before Cody gets his knees up and The Deaners hit T2G to Dez for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Deaners defeat The Rascalz via pinfall.
– We get a video package for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship match later tonight where the Motor City Machine Guns will defend against the Good Brothers, The North and Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. We then get a backstage promo by Karl and Doc where they say that they’re going to become the new champions.
– We get a graphic for The Rock inducting Ken Shamrock into the hall of fame up next as we go to commercial.
– We come back to Matt Stryker introducing The Rock in a pre-taped video package where Rock talks about how much Ken helped his career and his breaking in as a heel when he first joined the WWF. Matt then introduces Ken as he comes out onto the stage and accepts his trophy before thanking everyone who helped him get where he is today.
Main Show
X-Division Championship Six Way Scramble Match
Rohit tries to leave, but is brought back to the ring before it’s just TJP and Chris in the ring. The two shove each other before Trey hits a dive and takes the both of them out. Trey hits a 916 into a superkick before Willie comes in and runs the ropes with Trey until he sends Trey out of the ring with a flying shoulder block. Jordynne comes in and drops Willie for two before Willie hits a scoop slam and TJP locks in a double triple submission. Rohit comes in and slams Jordynne into the mat before clearing the ring and hitting a snap suplex for two.
Willie hits a Samoan drop into a standing moonsault for two before everyone takes turns hitting topes. Back in the ring TJP gets a near fall off of a crucifix that Jordynne breaks up before Trey counters a muscle buster. They hit a tower of doom before Rohit hits a diving stomp onto Jordynne for a near fall that Willie breaks up. Everyone hits a move before Jordynne hits Trey with the Grace Driver for a near fall that Rohit breaks up. Jordynne then hits a tope before TJP hits a diving splash and Rohit takes him out before covering Trey for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rohit Raju retains his X-Division Championship by defeating Trey Miguel, Willie Mack, TJP and Jordynne Grace via pinfall.
– We go backstage to John E Bravo and Rosemary with their bridesmaids and groomsmen who are helping him plan the wedding. Bahh then informs John that the gothic castle fell through, but Rosemary doesn’t seem to care.
Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match
Rhino and Shawn Daivari start the match off with Rhino in control welt before Larry D enters and runs Rhino over. Larry and Daivari work together before Crazzy Steve and Acey come in. XXXL work together and squash Steve before Kaleb and Tenille come out and Kaleb enters the match instead of Tenille. Havok comes in next and hits a head scissors to Acey before powerbombing Kaleb and eliminating him. Tenille gets in the match and locks in a sleeper on Havok as Brian Myers enters the match and eliminates Steve.
Swoggle enters the match next and he and Brian work together to eliminate Daivari before Brian eliminates Swoggle. Tommy Dreamer comes in next with a trash can lid and works together with Swoggle to hit a doomsday device to Brian. Alisha comes in next with a handicapped parking sign and hits Brian with a kendo stick after Brian eliminates Tommy. Brian eliminates Alisha next before Kiera Hogan enters the match as Tasha cheers her on from ringside. Taya comes out next with John and Rosemary before Larry and Acey run into each other.
Taya hits a double running meteora in the corner to XXXL before Fallah Bahh enters the match. Taya eliminates Havok before she’s eliminated by XXXL and James Storm comes out next. Larry is eliminated as Adam from Reno Scum enter the match before the other half of Reno Scum, Luster enters next. RS double up on Bahh and Rhino before Heath enters at seventeen and helps Rhino even the odds. Acey and Heath exchange strikes until Heath clotheslines him over the top before eliminating Brian next. Sami Callihan comes out next before Hernandez comes in last at number twenty before he exchanges chops with Bahh.
Bahh gets eliminated when he’s more concerned about the money around his neck before Hernandez leaves to the back to find Bahh and the money he stole from him. Storm is eliminated next before Sami eliminates Heath and yells that he doesn’t care about his kids before it’s down to just Sami and Rhino. The singles match officially starts before they exchange and Sami rakes the eyes of Rhino before hitting a piledriver for a near fall. Sami then brings a chair into the ring before throwing it down and Rhino Gores him for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rhino wins the gauntlet and will keep his job.
– We go backstage to an interview with The North ahead of their challenging for the tag titles.
– Moose goes to the warehouse where EC3 and his disciples are before they both get into the ring and exchange strikes. Moose slams EC3 before EC3 hits an exploder suplex and Moose low blows him. Moose sends EC3 face first into the top turnbuckle before busting him open on the forehead. Moose beats EC3 down and brings a chair into the ring before EC3 hits a spine buster and beats on Moose in mount. Moose hits a running boot and they end up at ringside where EC3 sends Moose into the railing.
EC3 sends Moose into the post repeatedly before rolling him back into the ring and talks about how Moose needs to earn a title and not just take one. EC3 tells Moose to become a monster, and prove he can hold the title before Moose spears EC3. Moose hits EC3 with the TNA World Heavyweight title belt over and over until he leaves him bloodied. EC3 and his disciples then do the Moose chant before Moose spears EC3 and leaves with the title.
Eddie Edwards vs Ken Shamrock w/Sami Callihan
They start the match off with strikes before Ken lays into Eddie with punches to the midsection. Ken backs Eddie into the corner before taking Eddie down to the mat and taking the back of Eddie. Ken gets two off of a crucifix before locking in a rear naked choke and Eddie turns around into Ken’s mount. Ken locks in a heel hook before Eddie rolls to the ropes and Ken kicks his now injured leg. They end up at ringside before where Ken beats on Eddie before Eddie comes back with a blue thunderbomb.
Eddie hits several dragon screws into a baseball slide before hitting a suicide dive that takes out both Sami and Ken. Back in the ring Eddie hits a missile dropkick for two before Ken counters a Tiger Driver. Eddie hits Ken with forearms before hitting a Tiger Driver and Ken locks in an armbar. Eddie turns the hold into a pinning predicament for two before dropping Ken with a running elbow. Eddie hits a backpack stunner before Ken sits up and locks in a rear naked choke before Eddie headbutts his way free.
Eddie hits the Boston Knee Party into a single leg Boston crab before Sami distracts the referee. The lights go out and come back on with Sami with a baseball bat and Eddie with a kendo stick before Eddie sends Sami out of the ring. Ken then hits a belly to belly suplex before Ken submits him with an ankle lock.
Winner: Ken Shamrock defeats Eddie Edwards via submission.
IMPACT World Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way Match
The North immediately attack Alex from behind when MCMG are coming out to the ring before Alex is helped to the back. Chris decides to defend the titles on his own and is immediately double teamed by The North before Ace comes in and stomps Chris on the mat. Fulton comes in and drops Chris with a boot before Josh tags himself in and The North isolate Chris. Fulton tags in and he and Ace double up on Chris while Karl and Doc begin to get frustrated since they have yet to enter the match. Chris comes back with a DDT to Fulton and tags Karl in who drops Ace repeatedly and hits a running senton before knocking Ethan off of the apron.
Doc comes in and he and Karl hit an assisted neckbreaker for a two count that Fulton breaks up. Doc clotheslines Fulton over the top rope and down onto the floor after they boot each other. Doc clotheslines both members of The North before Chris tags himself in and takes out both members of The North. Karl tags himself in and Chris hits a missile dropkick into a tope to the outside before hitting a diving cross body to Karl. Karl rolls through for two before he and Chris exchange forearms until Chris dropkicks Ace in midair.
Chris takes everyone out at ringside before hitting a shining wizard to Ace once he’s back in the ring. Chris gets a near fall that Ethan breaks up before Chris dumps Ethan out of the ring and Ace meets Chris up top. The North stop Ace and send him out of the ring before they powerbomb Chris for a near fall. Doc comes in and takes out both members of The North before Ace dropkicks Doc out of the ring. The North take out Ace and Fulton before Karl hits a diving neckbreaker to Josh and Josh counters the Magic Killer.
Karl then gets a near fall off of a roll up before Ethan hits Karl with one of the belts and Josh pins him for the win.
Winner: The North defeat The Good Brothers, Ace Austin and Madman Fulton and MCMG via pinfall to become the new tag team champions.
Knockouts Championship Match
Deonna Purrazzo (c) w/ Kimber Lee vs Su Yung
Su goes right after Deonna and tosses her around the ring by her hair before choking her in the corner. Su drops Deonna with kicks before Deonna rolls out onto the apron and they exchange forearms. Su hits a back drop onto the edge of the apron before getting distracted by Kimber at ringside. Back in the ring the two exchange pin attempts before Deonna rocks Su with a back elbow. Su hits the Aracnarana for two before Deonna focuses on her arm to set up the Fujiwara armbar.
They lock up and Deonna hits a flat liner before locking in an armbar before stomping the face of Su. Deonna hits a snap mare before missing a running knee drop and dropping Su with a boot when she catches her running in. Deonna ties Su up in the ropes in a paradise lock before hitting a baseball slide that sends Su to the floor. Back in the ring Deonna hits a series of German suplexes before Su comes back with a DDT. Su hits Deonna with chops and forearms before hitting a Thesz press and punching Deonna in mount.
Su hits a running bulldog out of the corner before Deonna rolls out of the ring and Su goes after her. Su sends Deonna shoulder first into the post before sitting Deonna in a chair and hitting a cannonball off of the apron. Su tosses Deonna back into the ring and hits a pedigree for two before Deonna accidentally takes out the referee. Su counters a piledriver into a reverse piledriver before Kimber brings a chair into the ring and hits Su with it. Su locks in the mandible claw to Deonna before spraying mist in the face of Kimber.
Deonna then locks in the Venus de Milo before Su counters into a mandible claw and hits the Panic Switch for the pin and the win.
Winner: Su Yung defeats Deonna Purrazzo via pinfall to become the new Knockouts champion.
– We get the announcement of the return of the Knockouts Tag Team titles in January at Hard to Kill.
IMPACT World Championship Match
Eric Young (c) vs Rich Swann
Eric picks the ankle of Rich and takes him down before he’s quick to get back to his feet and hits a head scissors and several dropkicks. EY rolls to the outside before dragging Rich out of the ring and Rich sends him into the post. They get back in the ring only for Rich to send Eric back out and hit a cannonball off of the apron. Eric hip tosses Rich into the ropes so he lands neck first on the edge of the apron. EY crotches Rich on the top rope before hitting an avalanche neckbreaker for two.
EY turns Rich inside out for two before wrenching the neck of Rich and grounding the high flyer Swann. Rich punches his way free before EY drops him with a back elbow for two before stretching Rich in the ropes. Rich comes back with chops and forearms before EY hits a DVD and drops Rich with a right hand. Rich comes back with a clothesline and several spinning back kicks into an enzuigiri and a frankensteiner. Rich hits a frog splash for two before setting EY on the top turnbuckle and EY bites him before knocking him down.
EY hits a diving elbow drop for two before locking in a cross face that Rich breaks by rolling back into the ropes. They exchange right hands before Rich rocks EY with an enzuigiri and EY counters a Lethal Injection into a spinning neckbreaker for a near fall. Rich catches EY with a back elbow before EY locks in a heel hook before Rich rolls to the ropes for the break. Rich gets a near fall off of a jack knife cover before superkicking EY and hitting a standing moonsault for a near fall. EY puts Rich in the tree of woe before Rich hits a cutter into a Lethal Injection.
Rich then goes up top and hits a Phoenix splash for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rich Swann defeats Eric Young via pinfall to become the new IMPACT World champion.
– After the match everyone comes out and celebrates with Rich as we go off the air.
