Impact Wrestling 8/9 Viewership Drops To New 2018 Low
Quality doesn’t always equal viewership. Such is the case for Impact Wrestling. The Aug. 9 edition of the show pulled in just 168,000 viewers and a .004 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.
The viewership number is rather alarming as last week’s show did 248,000 viewers. Despite the big change in viewership, the show actually went up on ShowBuzz Daily‘s list of top 150 programs on the night. Last week they were ranked No. 138. The show finished No. 127 on Thursday night.
Unsurprisingly, the NFL preseason game between the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants won the night on cable with 1.9 million viewers.
Impact was headlined by a world title bout between Austin Aries and Eddie Edwards. The ending of the match, which includes Killer Kross’ run-in, currently sits at 61,000 views on YouTube. The OGz-LAX street fight challenge is second with 43,000 views. Pentagon Jr. against Matt Sydal, Sami Callihan forcing Dave Crist to shave his head, and Scarlett Bordeaux announcing ‘The Smokeshow’ round out the top five most viewed Impact segments on YouTube.
