IMPACT Rebellion 2021: Brian Myers Vs. Matt Cardona Result

Brian Myers and Matt Cardona faced each other at IMPACT Rebellion.

The longtime friends have been feuding ever since Myers took exception with Cardona joining IMPACT Wrestling, claiming that he’s following him around and trying to steal his spotlight. Both men were released from their WWE contracts on April 15, 2020, as a result of “budget cuts” stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Myers signed with IMPACT in July 2020 while Cardona arrived in January 2021 at Hard To Kill.

The result of their Rebellion grudge match can be seen below.

Brian Myers vs Matt Cardona

Brian backs Matt into the corner before Matt drops him and Brian gets out of the ring before snapping Matt neck first across the top turnbuckle and Brian suplexes Matt onto the floor before sending Matt into the railing and beating on him back in the ring and playing to the non-existent crowd. Brian hits several elbow drops into an attempted superplex that Matt counters. Matt hits a missile dropkick into a clothesline in the corner before Brian rolls out of the ring to avoid a running boot and hits a diving elbow drop once they’re back in the ring for two before Matt hits an Unprettier for two before Brian counters Radio Silence. Brian then clotheslines Matt after he injures himself before finishing Matt with The Roster Cut for the pin and the win.

Winner: Brian Myers defeats Matt Cardona via pinfall.
