IMPACT Wrestling announced that an IMPACT Tag Team Championship number one contenders tournament will be held in the coming weeks, and the winner will earn a title shot at IMPACT Emergence on August 27. The titles are currently held by Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews).

The first tournament match will be held on the August 3 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, as The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) will face Mike Bailey and Jonathan Gresham.

The other first-round bout will see ABC (Chris Bey and Ace Austin) face Sami Callihan and Rich Swann.  The announcement did not specify when the finals of the tournament will be held.
