In a post on Facebook, Hydeia Broadbent’s father announced that she had passed away at the age of 39.
The post is as follows:
With great sadness, I must inform you all that our beloved friend, mentor and daughter Hydeia, passed away today after living with Aids since birth. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, Hydeia remained determined to spread hope and positivity through education around Hiv/AIDS
Hydeia had been an activist for AIDS since she was a child. She memorably appeared on “The Jerry Springer Show”, where she met Scott Hall. On the show, Hall gave Hydeia and Tyler Small, another child living with AIDS, his Intercontinental Title and called them champions.
