HollyHood Haley J Says WWE Is Always The Goal
WWE held tryouts in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center in September with independent and up-and-coming talent taking part of the tryout.
HollyHood Haley J was reportedly listed as participating in the tryout, but Fightful Select later reported that she was pulled from the WWE tryouts due to reasons related to medical paperwork, per WWE and OVW sources. Fightful Select was told that WWE is hopeful that they can get her in the future.
Speaking to Steve Fall of WrestlingNewsCo, Haley said WWE is still the goal.
“I’m still not cleared. I’m on a doctor hunt. After that, hopefully WWE is still interested in me. WWE is always the goal. If not, maybe AEW will come. WWE is definitely the goal,” she said.
Haley returned to the ring on January 6 so the interview appears to be partially dated.
Asked who she would like to face in WWE, Haley said, “Charlotte Flair. I know she’s hurt tight now. She’s taking her time, I’m taking my time, and then boom. I’ll see you soon, honey.”
Charlotte has been sidelined since December with a knee injury. She said in mid-February that she was ahead of her rehab schedule.
