Hiroyoshi Tenzan Stretchered Off At NJPW New Year Dash, NJPW Provides Update
THE EMPIRE made a statement at NJPW New Year Dash.
After going 0-3 across both nights of Wrestle Kingdom 15, Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, and The Great-O-Khan rebounded at New Year Dash with a six-man tag team victory over Yota Tsuji & TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima).
THE EMPIRE weren’t satisfied with just the victory though as they brutalized their opponents with O-Khan hitting a Tenzan tombstone driver on Tenzan and Ospreay laying out Kojima with the hidden blade. As a way to sell the attack, Tenzan was stretchered out of the arena with Kojima looking on with a great state of concern for his best friend.

NJPW provided the following update on his status:
On January 6’s New Year Dash event, Hiroyoshi Tenzan was stretchered away from the ring following an attack from Great-O-Khan. Tenzan was examined by doctors and treated for a neck injury. Tenzan’s injury is not thought to be serious, and he will make a full recovery.
Tenzan will undergo another thorough evaluation before he is cleared for further action. We wish him the best in his recovery.
