Hijo del Vikingo is officially the longest-reigning AAA Mega Champion of all time, holding the title belt for 766 days.
The son of Rey Vikingo surpassed the record that belonged to the previous title holder Kenny Omega. Omega held the title for 765 days before vacating the championship on November 21, 2021, due to injury.
Hijo del Vikingo’s reign began when he defeated Samuray del Sol, Bandido, Jay Lethal & Bobby Fish at the 2021 edition of AAA TripleMania Regia. His latest title defenses were against Black Taurus in a AAA House Show on December 25, 2023, on the December 22, 2023, edition of AEW Rampage Holiday Bash & the 12/15 edition of ROH Final Battle.
Hijo del Vikingo has defeated the likes of Kenny Omega, Daga, Mike Bailey, Dralistico, Komander, Swerve Strickland & more during his run, marking a total of 23 title defenses in his run across multiple promotions like AEW, AAA, GCW & ROH.

Hijo del Vikingo is set to challenge for the X-Division Championship on the January 13 edition of TNA Hard to Kill, where he will face KUSHIDA and defending champion Chris Sabin in a triple threat.
