Heath Slater Discusses One Hour Broadway In FCW With Dr. Tom Prichard

Heath Slater isn’t used much on television in 2020, but during his time in FCW, he was pushed to his limit thanks to Dr. Tom Prichard.

Speaking on A Future WWE: The FCW Story Slater recalled going broadway with Dr. Tom and the memory he has from the match.

“I came back from a meniscus tear and Dr. Tom was doing a one-hour broadway match. You’ve got to go an hour, period. Dr. Tom comes in knee pads, boots, his gear. And he’s like, ‘Yup, I’m doing a broadway match tonight and I’m doing it with Heath. I’m just like ‘No, are you serious? No. What?’ I give him the backdrop, he lands on his foot, breaks his damn ankle. He’s like, ‘Pin me.’ He goes the rest…52 minutes, makes me throw up, he has a broken ankle. Match is over, next day, he comes in training in a boot. He’s looking at me like, ‘this is your fault.’ When he got out of the boot, he gave it to me and I still have it as a trophy in my house.”

Heath continued, “I think he was doing it because he knew I could do it and I didn’t know I could do it. Dr. Tom was the one who opened me up to ‘you can do anything.’ Really getting into the dirt and soil of Heath Slater.”

Natalya mentioned doing broadway matches with Dr. Tom as well and how it helped her realize she can do anything.
