Havana Pitbulls To Take On MexaBlood, Sumie Sakai vs. Nicole Savoy Set For ROH Past vs. Present
Ring of Honor announced that the Havana Pitbulls (Rocky Romero & Ricky Reyes) will reunite to take on MexaBlood (Bandido & Flamita) at ROH Past vs. Present.
Romero & Reyes have not teamed since 2007. The last time the former Tag Team Champions teamed in ROH was at ROH Battle Of The Icons in January 2007 in a loss to the Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe). ROH Past vs. Present is scheduled for Mar. 14 in Las Vegas.
Former ROH World Tag Team Champions The Havana Pitbulls — Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes — will team together for the first time in nearly 13 years when they face MexaBlood (Bandido and Flamita) at ROH Past vs. Present in Las Vegas on March 14.
Romero and Reyes won the ROH World Tag Team Title from CM Punk and Colt Cabana in 2004 and went on to hold the belts for 196 days, which was a record at the time. They successfully defend the title against teams such as Generation Next (Roderick Strong and Jack Evans), Punk and Steve Corino, and Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer, among others.
Bandido and Flamita, two of the most exciting young stars in the sport, have been tag team champions in Mexico and the UK and currently are two-thirds of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions along with Rey Horus. Flamita suffered a torn meniscus during a tag match pitting him and Bandido against the Briscoes on Feb. 9, but he is expected to be cleared to compete at Past vs. Present.
