Happy Corbin On Tossing Rey Mysterio Off A Roof: I Think Someone Legit Called The Cops
WWE Money in the Bank 2020 featured the most unique Money in the Bank ladder match in history as the bout took place at WWE Headquarters with the ring and ladders being set up on the roof.
The competitors, both male and female, battled through headquarters and up to the roof where they climbed the ladder to unhook their respective Money in the Bank briefcases. The most memorable spot in the match happened when Happy Corbin (Baron Corbin) tossed Rey Mysterio off of a roof…onto a second roof.
Speaking on KLBJFM, Corbin reflected on the spot.
“He’s one of the iconic in our industry. He’s been around for a long time and done a lot of things,” Corbin said of Mysterio. “He created a standard for smaller guys. Everybody that comes into the business that is undersized, ‘I want to be the next Rey Mysterio.’ There will never be another Rey Mysterio. I got it in my head, ‘If he’s one of the greatest ever, let’s see if he can fly.’ We happened to be on top of a ten-story building and I sent him over into the darkness. I have that mask on my wall at my house right now. That was one of the craziest Money in the Bank matches because the ring is on top of headquarters, it’s cold, it’s dark, the wind was blowing. When Asuka punched me in the head on top of the ladder, I fell off because of the wind. It was really gusty. I think someone legit called the police that I murdered somebody.”
After the bout aired, AJ Styles joked that Corbin was still running from the police.
No one has heard from @WWEAleister or @reymysterio, @BaronCorbinWWE is running from the law, @WWEDanielBryan is still rearranging furniture in the office, and I was CHEATED out of #MITB by @otiswwe! A travesty! #WWERaw

Corbin was not arrested for trying to kill Mysterio.
