Hangman Page Returns; The Elite vs. BCC In Anarchy In The Arena Set For AEW Double Or Nothing
Hangman Page is back, and he’s ready for war.
Hangman Page is back, and he’s ready for war.
The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) have been feuding with Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) for a number of weeks. Hangman Page has also been involved with the feud; his rivalry with Moxley dates back to October, when he suffered a concussion a match against Moxley. Page has fought alongside The Elite during the rivalry, but it was clear that they still weren’t quite on the same page. The BCC took Page out with a brutal attack on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, and the remaining members of The Elite had been outnumbered during Hangman’s absence.
On the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, Don Callis started to explain why he betrayed Kenny Omega on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, where Callis’ interference helped Moxley beat Omega in a Steel Cage match. Omega interrupted Callis, and he was attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club.
Moxley claimed that the BCC is the elite. The Young Bucks came out, but The Elite were still outnumbered. Page then joined The Elite trio on the stage, and they took the fight to the Blackpool Combat Club.
After the quartet cleared the ring, Page said The Elite are the heart and soul of AEW. He ended the show by challenging the Blackpool Combat Club to an Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing on May 28.

Page’s appearance marked his return to AEW TV for the first time since the Blackpool Combat Club attacked him and gouged his eye with a screwdriver on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Angelo Parker, and Matt Menard) beat Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson), Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz in the first Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing 2022.
