Gunther Hits 500 Days As WWE Intercontinental Champion

Another milestone for Gunther. 

Gunther has now hit 500 days as WWE Intercontinental Champion. He’s already the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time. Gunther surpassed Honky Tonk Man to become the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion on September 7. 

The reign of Gunther started on the June 10, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown when he defeated Ricochet. He’s made 17 successful title defenses during his run. His most recent title defense came against Bronson Reed on the October 16 episode of WWE Raw.

Gunther has defeated the likes of Chad Gable, Bronson Reed, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Braun Strowman during his run.
