Goldberg Scheduled For Several Events

Goldberg has been announced as part of the lineup for upcoming WWE house shows in Buffalo and Hartford. The Twitter accounts for both the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., and the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y., tweeted the news that Goldberg would be appearing:

The KeyBank account also tweeted that Lesnar will be part of the action at the Nov. 14 event.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer tweeted on Thursday afternoon that Goldberg would not be wrestling “until Toronto.” Numerous reports have indicated Goldberg will face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, which takes place Nov. 20 in the Canadian city.

Goldberg has not wrestled a match since WrestleMania in 2004, when he defeated Lesnar in what was, at the time, the farewell match in the company for both individuals. News of the departures of both Goldberg and Lesnar leaked prior to the event, which led to the crowd booing both wrestlers loudly throughout the contest.

Goldberg already has been announced to appear on Raw this coming Monday, after he was challenged on Lesnar’s behalf by Lesnar’s on-screen advocate, Paul Heyman. Goldberg’s return to WWE has been rumored and reported for the past several weeks, beginning with a TMZ report in late August that Goldberg was in talks with WWE for a potential return. Goldberg is also set for the October 31 Raw.

A former champion in both WCW and WWE, Goldberg was announced in May as the special pre-order bonus content for the WWE 2K17, which hit stores earlier this week. Sting was the pre-order bonus for the 2K15 version of the game, which set the stage for his WWE debut later that year at Survivor Series, leading to his match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31.
