Goldberg Says His Love For The Wrestling Business Has Grown Exponentially Over The Years
Goldberg’s feelings towards the wrestling business have changed drastically.
In the newest WWE docu-special, Goldberg at 54, the Hall of Famer spoke about how his passion for the industry has grown, a far cry from how he felt during his prime. An interview clip from 2000 was even shown where Goldberg told a reporter that he doesn’t love the sport or a lot of the people he works with. He wishes he had his current perspective back then but understands that it made him who he was. Here is what he said:
“It’s been a weird deal, the wrestling. It’s because my love of it has grown exponentially throughout the years and I would have thought that wouldn’t have been the case by any stretch. I didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now when I got in it by any stretch. So it gives me a completely different perspective. I wish I would have had this perspective on it back in the day, but then again, I wouldn’t have been Goldberg. I guess there’s a reason why things happen and there’s a reason why you are the person that you are because you’re a product of your environment. That’s why I’m so chill now. I’m Goldberg the farmhand.”
Goldberg last competed at the 2021 Royal Rumble, losing to Drew McIntyre in a WWE Championship match.
