G1 Climax 26 Standings Update
New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual G1 Climax tournament is rapidly approaching its conclusion.
Just one set of matches remains in the round-robin portion of G1 Climax 26 before winners in the two blocks are determined. The Block A and Block B winners advance to face one another on the final day of the tour, this Sunday. The overall G1 winner also earns a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4 from the Tokyo Dome.
Tetsuya Naito currently leads the way in Block B, while there’s a five-way tie at the top of Block A that includes the current IWGP titleholder, Kazuchika Okada.
The final three events of the G1 Climax will all take place from Tokyo’s Sumo Hall and will be streamed live on NJPW World, New Japan’s streaming on demand video service. Each of the last three events will have Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino providing English commentary.
