Frankie Kazarian In-Depth Interview Continues, Several Champions Pick Up Wins | IMPACT x ROH Recap

Here is your fight size update following IMPACT and ROH Wrestling on Thursday, May 4, 2023. 

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

IMPACT Wrestling  

– May 4 kicked off an interview series featuring Gia Miller interviewing Frankie Kazarian. Fans can see an extended version of the second part of the interview embedded above.

– Alex Shelley is eyeing his first IMPACT World Title 

– Next week, Steve Maclin fights Rhino for the World Title.

– After their 4th encounter, Jonathan Gresham defeated Mike Bailey. Post-Match, Gresham, and Bailey shook hands.

– Sami Callihan asked Rich Swann for help in his fight against The Design, but Swann is hesitant to give him an answer.

– Trinity Fatu debuted tonight and made it clear she will be World Champion one day.

– Dango is making headway in his quest to find out who attacked Santino.

– Jody Threat was successful in action on May 4.

– Rosemary enlisted the help of Father James Mitchell to enter the Undead Realm after their access was blocked due to an unknown force.

Ring of Honor 

– Athena turned back yet another challenger in another Proving Ground Match. This time, she defeated Angelica Risk.  Next week, she faces Skye Blue.

– Claudio Castagnoli , ROH World Champion, defeated Robbie Eagles in Eagles’ ROH debut.

– In another women’s match, Skye Blue defeated Robyn Renegade. 

– The Kingdom cut a promo about wanting to be in the championship picture and saying that they would have been if not for the disrespect of Top Flight. 

– Brian Cage picked up another win on Ring of Honor TV. This time he defeated Brock Anderson.

– In a 10-Man Tag, Best Friends teamed with Darius Martin, Action Andretti, and Dark Order to beat Varsity Athletes and The Kingdom. Later, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett attacked Action Andretti & Darius backstage before “adhering to the Code of Honor” and welcoming them to ROH.

– Rocky Romero defeated Lee Moriarty in a Pure Rules match.

– Samoa Joe successfully defended his Ring of Honor TV Title against one of his greatest rivals, Christopher Daniels.

– Willow Nightingale defeated Steph De Lander, working her way up to another title shot.
