Former WWE, TNA Star Set For ROH Debut

Ken Anderson is coming to Ring Of Honor. The former WWE and TNA star will be challenging ROH World TV Champion Marty Scurll at the upcoming ROH live event, "Masters of the Craft", on April 28 in Hopkins, MN.

ROH announced Anderson's upcoming appearance in an article on its website.

Anderson worked as Mr. Kennedy in WWE during a stint on the main roster that lasted from 2005 until May of 2009. He appeared primed for a major push in WWE on a couple of occasions, most prominently when he won the Money In The Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23, but he suffered a serious shoulder injury that led to him losing the briefcase to Edge. After his WWE tenure ended in 2009, he moved to TNA the following year, where he had a pair of reigns as TNA World Champion. He parted ways with TNA last year–reportedly getting fired by the company after failing a drug test

He has worked fairly regularly on the independent circuit since leaving TNA, taking dates both here in the United States and overseas.

The card for "Masters of the Craft" is topped by a non-title tag match with The Addiction, ROH World Champ Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, taking on the current ROH World Tag Champions, the Young Bucks. Other matches include:

  • The Briscoe Brothers vs. Motor City Machine Guns
  • Matt Taven vs. Adam Cole
  • Bully Ray vs. Silas Young
  • Jay Lethal vs. Beer City Bruiser
  • Punishment Martinez vs. Jay White
  • War Machine vs. The Rebellion (Shane Taylor & Rhett Titus)
