Former NXT Talent Dan Matha Arrested For Failing To Appear In Court

Dan Matha was arrested on Monday in Orlando, Florida.

According to Raj Giri and Jason Angel of WrestlingINC, Matha was arrested for failing to appear in court, which is a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to HeelByNature, Matha failed to appear following a traffic violation earlier this year. Last year, Matha was stopped twice for driving with a suspended license. In February 2020, he was stopped again and pleaded no contest. He paid a fine of $722 for that infraction. His license was suspended due to unpaid traffic fines.

He was to appear in court on June 24 and did not appear, even after a notice was sent on July 1. An arrest warrant was issued on August 17 after he did not respond to the notice.

He has been released from Orange County Jail and a new court date has been set for September 2.

Matha revealed in April that he went through a horrific car accident where he was ejected through the window of his car. Shortly after the accident, he was released by WWE on April 15 as part of the company-wide cutbacks.

Matha last wrestled on March 7 at an NXT live event against Tyler Breeze. He made a handful of appearances on NXT and NXT UK television, most notably as The Outliers alongside Riddick Moss.

Fightful will provide further details on the arrest as they are known.
