Former CMLL And AAA Announcer Dr. Alfonso Morales Passes Away
Announcer Dr. Alfonso Morales passed away on December 17 at the age of 71.
Morales had been fighting against kidney failure in the past years, which took him out of the public eye. In 2019 he was honored at the House of Representation of the Government of Michoacán in Mexico City
He is best known for his commentary work in CMLL and AAA. He is also one of the founders of Super Luchas magazine.
CMLL put out the following statement on his passing:
The World Wrestling Council joins the grief that the Lucha family has for the sensitive death of the legendary sports commentator Dr. Alfonso Morales, who became an emblematic voice that made history in this sport.
Rest in peace.
