Florida, Site Of WrestleMania 36, Issues Stay-At-Home Order

Florida has officially issued a stay-at-home order.

Governor Ron DeSantis has issued an executive order to limit movements going into effect on April 3, 12:01 a.m. ET as a result of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, joining a number of different states throughout the country to issue similar orders. WWE has been stationed in the state of Florida for weeks, postponing shows that were originally taking place in other states.

“This is another 30 day period at this point, even though there are a lot of places in Florida with low infection rates, it makes sense to make this move now,” DeSantis said.

WWE has been doing episodes of Raw and SmackDown from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando with the most recent episode NXT being taped at Full Sail University. WrestleMania 36 is also set to take place at the Performance Center on April 4 and 5 but matches for the show have reportedly been taped prior to the stay-at-home order.

At first, WrestleMania 36 was supposed to emanate from Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium on April 5, but the decision to move the show was made weeks ago.
