Florida Governor Allowing Full Capacity For NFL Games

Potentially good news for Vince McMahon and WWE.

Fox Sports 640’s Andy Slater reports Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will allow the Miami Dolphins to have a full capacity of 64,000 fans for their next home game. The Dolphins declined the options, deciding to follow CDC guidelines and keep capacity at 13,000.

Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba reports Florida is allowing sports teams to run at any capacity of their choosing as the state moves into Phase 3.

WWE continues to run at the Amway Center in Florida with the lease expiring at the end of October. It is unknown if they will renew the lease or move elsewhere. It was previously reported that WWE told talent to prepare to travel again, but no timeframe was established.

It was also reported on October 2 that WWE had tentative plans in place for WrestleMania 37 to take place in Tampa. WrestleMania 37 is currently scheduled to emanate from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. WrestleMaia 36 was scheduled to be held in Tampa before the pandemic caused plans to change.

Florida reported 2,251 new COVID-19 cases on October 6.

As of now, it is unknown when WWE will allow non-family and friends in the building or when the company will begin traveling again.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation as more information is known.
