Florence Pugh Calls Out Movie Critic For Pointing Out Her “Chunky Thighs”, Paige Comments

Florence Pugh calls out a movie critic for taking his/her focus off of the movie’s storyline.

Fighting With My Family star Florence Pugh and the cast of the film are wrapping up their press tour as Fighting With My Family has released in various theaters around the world. The stars of the cast have been receiving tons of praise from movie critics and have been responding to those critiques on social media about the film in general and their individual performances.

Florence Pugh, who plays the role of former 3-time WWE Women’s Champion Paige in Fighting With My Family came across a review published by the ‘Evening Standard’ and the writer pointed out that Florence has “chunky thighs”.

Though Lowden’s performance is gorgeous, Pugh is the film’s main weapon. Hauntingly intense in The Falling and Lady Macbeth, the 23-year-old turns out to be an effortlessly nuanced comedian. With chunky thighs. Her character is based on real-world WWE champion Paige, whose legs are significantly slimmer. How cool! So many actresses offer an idealised version of real women. Pugh is changing the ideal.

Pugh caught wind of this critique and brought it to the light on Twitter and noted that not normalizing all shapes and sizes is a problem that already exists in Hollywood and articles as such are not helping change that stigma. She then responded to another Twitter user and clarified that she is not upset with the “chunky thighs” comment but is rather questioning why the comment is being factored into a movie review which led to Paige chiming in on the conversation.
