FITE TV COO Says The WRLD On GCW Was Biggest GCW Event Ever On FITE

Game Changer Wrestling delivered its best numbers ever for FITE TV.

FITE TV Chief Operating Officer Mike Weber issued a statement to POST Wrestling to say that The WRLD On GCW delivered its biggest numbers ever on the platform.

“GCW show did very well. This is the best show for them, not for FITE. We did 700,000 buys for the Tyson Jones fight from a year ago,” said Weber.

Weber is referencing the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr fight from November 2020. He did not give an exact number for how many buys The WRLD on GCW event did.

The WRLD on GCW aired live from the Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday, January 23. It was headlined by Jon Moxley defending the GCW World Title against Homicide and the return of Nick Gage, who teamed with Matt Tremont to face The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe).

Plus, Jeff Jarrett, Ruby Soho, Matt Cardona, and Joey Janela wrestled on the show, which also aired on traditional pay-per-view.
