First Four Competitors Advance In WWE’s King Of The Ring And Queen’s Crown Tournaments
WWE’s King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments kicked off tonight on SmackDown.
On October 8, WWE SmackDown played host to four first-round matches in the King of the Ring (KOTR) and Queen’s Crown tournaments. The brackets for each, can be seen here (men’s) and here (women’s). The final first-round matches will take place this Monday on Raw. The semi-finals will happen next week, with the finals happening on October 21 at Crown Jewel.
Sami Zayn defeated Rey Mysterio in the first match of the KOTR tournament. The victory extended Zayn’s winning streak over the Mysterio family to four weeks. The other match this evening saw Finn Balor defeat Cesaro. Finn and Sami will face each other next week.
In the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament, Zelina Vega and Carmella punched their tickets to the second round with wins over Toni Storm and Liv Morgan, respectively.
