First Competitor Qualifies For North American Championship Ladder Match At NXT Stand And Deliver
And then there were two.
On March 15, Cameron Grimes and Santos Escobar faced off in a North American Championship Qualifier. The title is set to be defended by Carmelo Hayes in a Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2.
The match was going in Grimes’ favor, but after taking his eyes off of Escobar to stare down Carmelo, he got hit with A Phantom Driver by Escobar. Off of that, the Legado del Fantasma leader was able to pick up the win and qualify for the Stand & Deliver Ladder Match. The three spots that remain open in the match will be filled in the coming weeks.

Escobar last challenged for the NXT Championship, losing to Bron Breakker. Grimes’ last title match was for the North American Championship but he was defeated by Carmelo Hayes at NXT Roadblock.
