Finn Balor Targeting Wrestlemania, Not Ruling Out Rumble
It's been four months since Finn Balor was forced to relinquish the WWE Universal Title in order to undergo shoulder surgery for an injury suffered at Summerslam against Seth Rollins.
There has been plenty of speculation regarding his return, but Balor gave his thoughts on the matter during an interview with The Sun in the United Kingdom.
"The shoulder is feeling good," Balor said. "The target and goal the whole time since the accident happened has been WrestleMania, and that hasn’t changed.
"There’s a possibility I may be ready a week or two before that, but as of now the target is WrestleMania."
Balor mentioned the idea of being back in time for the Royal Rumble in January. Though a return at the annual event doesn't seem likely to happen for the Demon, Balor isn't completely ruling out showing up at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
"I really believe in the power of positive thinking and the collective power of people’s thoughts spawning something into becoming reality," he said. "So if everyone does believe I can win the Royal Rumble, then I guess it’s not impossible.”
The Royal Rumble takes place on January 29, and officially kicks off the road to Wrestlemania 33.
